Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has unveiled a new membership programme for his fan base, the Shatta Movement, introducing an SM Gold Card aimed at formally registering and identifying members worldwide.
The artiste announced that the initiative will require fans to sign up through a dedicated online platform using their real identities and personal data as part of efforts to build a structured and verifiable community.
“We are ready to officialise our Shatta Movement members with real identities and data. Register now… Get your Gold Card membership after registration with just GHC100 to enjoy premium services around the world,” he said in a post on social media.
According to promotional materials, the SM Gold Card, priced at GHC100, will grant members official Shatta Movement status, a unique membership number, access to fan chapters, and entry into an exclusive community. The card is being offered on a limited membership basis.
In a video explaining the initiative, Shatta Wale said the move is part of a broader vision to organise his fan base into a force capable of undertaking long-term development projects.
“What I’m telling you guys for us to build, it’s not me alone, it’s us,” he said. “This… site that I’ve created is for us to get identified because we are going to be doing projects.”
The award-winning musician outlined ambitions to leverage the collective strength of the movement to establish social and economic ventures, including hospitals, schools, companies and factories, while creating opportunities for members.
He added that registered members would also enjoy exclusive experiences such as free entry to selected events and opportunities to interact with him at social gatherings.
Shatta Wale encouraged fans to adopt a culture of collective growth, financial discipline and self-development, stressing that the initiative is designed to help members build sustainable futures.
“Let us learn how to build together… when we have enough money, we can put it into projects and do things that will help ourselves and the communities around us,” he said.
The launch marks a new phase in the artiste’s engagement with his fan base, shifting from informal support to a more structured membership model.
