The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has hosted a delegation from Kenya’s Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) for a study tour of the country’s downstream petroleum regulatory framework.

The visit is aimed at promoting knowledge exchange and strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ petroleum regulators.

The EPRA delegation is expected to gain insights into Ghana’s regulatory approaches, policies and industry practices in managing the downstream petroleum sector.

The delegation was received by the NPA Chief Executive Officer, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., alongside the Deputy Chief Executive, Dr Sheila Addo, and members of the Authority’s Executive Committee.

During the engagement, the NPA team, led by the Head of Policy at the Policy Coordination Directorate, Rasheed Dauda, made presentations on Ghana’s regulatory experience and measures adopted to improve oversight of the downstream petroleum industry.

The authority said the engagement reflects the commitment of both countries to deepen collaboration, share expertise and promote regulatory excellence within Africa’s petroleum sector.
