Zeepay Ghana Limited has assured customers, partners and the public that it is working closely with the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and other stakeholders to ensure an orderly and transparent process following the revocation of its Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer (DEMI) licence.

In a public statement issued on Wednesday, the company said it remains committed to supporting all stakeholders as it navigates the regulatory process.

“Zeepay Ghana Limited is working closely with the Regulator and all relevant stakeholders to ensure an orderly, transparent and responsible approach following the revocation of the Company’s Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer Licence (Mobile Money Wallets),” the company said.

The fintech firm acknowledged that the regulator’s decision may have raised concerns among customers, employees, agents, merchants and business partners, and thanked them for their patience and continued cooperation.

“We recognise the concerns that this development may cause and sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding and continued cooperation of our customers, employees, agents, merchants, partners and the wider public during this period,” the statement said.

Zeepay said it would continue to engage constructively with the central bank while maintaining open communication throughout the process.

“The Company remains committed to acting responsibly, maintaining open and transparent communication, and working constructively with the Bank of Ghana and all relevant stakeholders towards an orderly resolution,” it added.

The company said further verified updates would be communicated through its official channels as they become available.

The statement comes after the Bank of Ghana announced the revocation of Zeepay’s Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer licence, a decision affecting the company’s mobile money wallet operations.
