Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson is presenting the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, outlining the government’s fiscal performance in the first half of the year and its economic priorities for the remainder of 2026.
The review is expected to assess progress against the 2026 Budget targets, with updates on revenue, public expenditure, debt management and financing plans.
The government is not expected to introduce new taxes but is likely to focus on implementing existing fiscal measures to sustain macroeconomic stability.
The minister is also expected to brief Parliament on Ghana’s transition from the International Monetary Fund’s Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programme to the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI), which will guide economic reforms after the IMF programme ends.
