The family of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba has marked the first anniversary of his death with an emotional gathering at his East Legon residence in Accra.

The private commemoration brought together family members and close associates who gathered to remember the life and enduring legacy of one of Ghana’s most celebrated musical icons.

In attendance were his kinsmen, his sister, Faustina Fosu and widow, Odo Broni who were inconcollable.

For the first time since his passing, the family offered a glimpse of Daddy Lumba’s final resting place; a tomb located within the mausoleum of his East Legon home.

Surrounding his black tomb is the numerous awards, plaques and musical works that defined his nearly four-decade journey in Ghana’s music industry.
