The Member of Parliament for Kpandai Constituency, Matthew Nyindam, has donated GH¢12,000 to Kpandai Senior High School to support the purchase of uniforms and band equipment for the school’s Cadet Corps.

The intervention is expected to strengthen the extracurricular programme and restore the cadet unit’s participation in regional activities after years of setbacks caused by inadequate logistics.

Presenting the donation on behalf of the MP, Kpandai Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Jato, urged the school management to ensure that the funds are used solely for the intended purpose.

He emphasised Nyindam’s commitment to improving education and youth development in the constituency, adding that investing in the Cadet Corps would help instill discipline, leadership, patriotism, and responsibility among students.

He also encouraged school authorities to continue promoting discipline as a core value in shaping the future of the learners.

Receiving the donation, the Headmaster of Kpandai Senior High School, Mohammed Alidu, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Member of Parliament for what he described as a timely and thoughtful intervention.

According to him, the school’s Cadet Corps has faced significant logistical challenges over the years, making it difficult for students to train effectively and participate in official activities.

Alidu disclosed that Kpandai Senior High School has been unable to participate in regional cadet drills for more than two years due to the lack of uniforms and essential band equipment. He expressed confidence that the donation would help revive the Cadet Corps, boost students’ morale, and enable the school to once again compete in regional cadet exercises while enhancing discipline and leadership development among the student body.
