President John Dramani Mahama has celebrated 34 years of marriage to First Lady Lordina Mahama, describing her as his anchor, friend and a constant source of support throughout their journey together.

The President marked the anniversary in a heartfelt message shared on his official Facebook page, expressing gratitude for Lordina’s love and companionship over more than three decades.

“Thirty-four years and still growing stronger. You’ve been a mother, my anchor, and my friend all rolled into one. I love you, and a happy 34th anniversary to us, Lordina,” Mahama wrote.

The anniversary marks more than three decades of marriage during which the couple have shared both their family life and the demands of public service.

Lordina Mahama has remained a prominent figure alongside her husband through his political career, from his time as a Member of Parliament and government minister to his tenure as Vice President and President.

She also served as Ghana’s First Lady during Mahama’s presidency from 2012 to 2017 before returning to the role following his election victory in December 2024.

The couple have five children.

President Mahama’s anniversary message has drawn warm reactions from Ghanaians, with many celebrating the couple’s longevity and publicly wishing them continued love and companionship.
