Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has unveiled a new spiritual movement, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT).

Dikeh announced the development on Instagram on Sunday, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and a global movement of believers committed to experiencing what she described as the “raw power, purity, and presence of God.”

The movement is anchored on Mark 2:22, which states: “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”

According to the actress, NWPT seeks to provide a platform for believers who desire what she described as genuine revival, spiritual transformation and a deeper Christian experience.

“NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation,” the announcement said.

The movement’s stated vision is to promote a global awakening of believers and equip them to transform communities and nations through their Christian faith.

Its mission includes establishing an interdenominational platform for prayer, revival and apostolic training, while equipping believers, promoting evangelism and supporting what it describes as spiritual freedom through the Holy Spirit.

Dikeh stressed that NWPT should not be regarded as a conventional church.

“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God,” the announcement said.

The movement is scheduled to hold weekly fellowship every Friday at 6:00pm.

The launch comes months after Dikeh became increasingly vocal about her Christian faith, including signing some of her social media posts as “Ada El-Roi” and participating in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD community.

In December 2025, Dikeh also shared a public testimony during a service at Streams of Joy International Church, where she spoke about overcoming smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues.

She said she began smoking at the age of 13 and attributed her recovery from the challenges to her Christian faith.

Dikeh, who entered politics in 2022 as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, has in recent months also reflected publicly on aspects of her personal life, including her former marriage to Olakunle Churchill.
