Similar to the golf career earnings leaderboard, many of today's tennis stars have far surpassed the legends of the past as the sport's popularity (and prize money) continues to grow following the golden age of tennis from the 1990s through the 2010s.

However, unlike golf, the women's tour has far more representation when it comes to on-court winnings.

Still, there is one athlete who reigns high above the rest of the tennis world when it comes to career earnings.

Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams Lead the ATP and WTA Tours in Total Winnings

Novak Djokovic, who turned pro in 2003, has played his way onto tennis' Mount Rushmore, and his bank account surely backs that up, too.

The Serbian star has amassed over $193 million in winnings across nearly a quarter-century of competition. It makes sense then that he is the all-time leader in singles major championships, and one of only five tennis players to surpass 20 in their career.

Financially, the gap between Djokovic and the next closest challenger (Rafael Nadal: $134 million) is over $58 million, which on its own, is more than the career earnings of all but seven other tennis players in history.

Here is a look at the combined top 25 rankings in tennis career earnings, including money made while competing on the ATP Tour and WTA Tour.

Eleven (11) women made the list, including Serena (No. 4 overall) and sister Venus Williams (No. 13), both in the top four among WTA players.

One of today's rising stars, Coco Gauff, is also quickly closing in on the top 20 after turning pro in 2018 at the age of 14.
