Afenyo-Markin Sues Sammy Gyamfi, Eric Adjei and Two Media Houses Over Alleged Defamation

Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has sued GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi, NEIP CEO Eric Adjei, Multi Media Group Ltd. and Peace FM over alleged defamatory statements made against him.
The suits were filed at the Accra High Court and the Achimota Circuit Court, respectively, following claims that the lawmaker was labelled an “extortionist” in statements attributed to the defendants.
The legal action seeks redress over the alleged defamatory publications and comments concerning the MP.
More details are expected to emerge as the cases proceed before the courts.
