The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory of the Tamale Girls Senior High School in the Northern Region has been refurbished.

The Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, in collaboration with HORLAP Innovations, a Ghanaian technology company, refurbished and handed over the lab to the school.

The facility, funded by HORLAP Company Limited in partnership with the Minister of Education's Special Initiative in ICT, is equipped with 70 computers.

At the handover ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of HORLAP Innovations, Kelvin Oduro Aboagye, urged students to take advantage of the opportunities offered by technology, describing AI, robotics, automation, coding, and software development as key drivers of the future global economy.

He said the company believed that investing in innovation and technology was one of the most effective ways of empowering young people to build successful careers and contribute to national development.

The Headmistress of Tamale Girls SHS, Ms Aisha Asumah, expressed gratitude to the Minister of Education and HORLAP Innovations for the intervention, describing it as a life-changing initiative for the school.
