Carlos Alcaraz Garfia was born on May 5, 2003, in El Palmar, Murcia, Spain.

His father, Carlos Alcaraz Gonzalez, was a former professional tennis player and director of a local tennis club, and he introduced his son to the sport from a young age. Alcaraz's grandfather, Gonzalez's father, also played a role in developing the sport in the region.
