The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has contained two separate fire incidents at North Kaneshie and Weija in the Greater Accra Region, preventing the flames from spreading to nearby properties.

The incidents occurred on Monday, August 10, and Tuesday, August 11.

According to a post by the GNFS, the North Kaneshie fire started in a palm tree near Orgle Road. Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze before it could spread to a nearby compound house.

At Weija, an electrical fire damaged an ECG prepaid meter and electrical cables. Firefighters contained the blaze before it spread further into the building.
