Asantewaa Nearly Destroyed My Career – King Balance on Ama Official Fallout

Ghanaian musician King Balance has revealed that his involvement in a TikTok dispute with actress and content creator Asantewaa nearly ended his music career, saying his tendency to involve himself in trending controversies came at a high cost.

Speaking on Angel FM, Kumasi, King Balance said his TikTok account had been taken down several times, denying him the opportunity to build an even larger following on the platform.

“My TikTok account has been taken down like four times. If not for that, I would have been hitting four million followers by now,” he said.

According to him, his problems on TikTok were partly linked to his habit of getting involved in almost every controversy that became popular on the platform, including disputes that did not directly concern him.

“The reason is that whatever trend happens on TikTok, I involve myself; even fights that are not my fight, then I take it on,” he explained.

King Balance said he had even built a reputation for defending people in online disputes, with some users paying him to fight their battles on the platform.

“People used to pay me to fight for them on the app,” he disclosed.

He said, however, that his confrontation with Asantewaa over the Ama Official case had a particularly damaging effect on his career because of Asantewaa’s popularity on TikTok at the time.

“Asantewaa was very famous on the app, so the fight on behalf of Ama Official ruined my career,” he stated.

Despite the setback, King Balance said persistence helped him rebuild his presence on the platform and revive his entertainment career.

He attributed his comeback to perseverance, saying his determination not to give up eventually enabled him to reignite his career after the controversy.

“It is because of perseverance that I was able to reignite my career,” he said.
