Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream saw their two-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday, falling to 21-13 on the 2026 WNBA season after a 95-91 overtime loss to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. The Dream will now focus on their next matchup, looking to bounce back with a road game against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.
Reese struggled with her shot throughout the night, but still managed to secure another double-double, tallying 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting, 14 rebounds and six assists. Clark, on the other hand, nearly tallied a double-double as well, finishing with a team-high 26 points on 9-of-20 shooting, three rebounds and nine assists.
But at the end of regulation, with the game tied at 81 apiece, the Dream has three chances to take the lead, including Reese, who missed a point-blank layup.

With just over five seconds remaining in the fourth, coming off an Atlanta timeout, guard Rhyne Howard attempted a 25-foot 3-pointer to take the lead over Indiana, hoping to secure the win. However, the ball came well short of the rim, falling into the hands of Reese under the basket.
With Aliyah Boston guarding her from behind, Reese attempted to win the game with a putback layup, only for her to miss the point-blank shot. Naz Hillmon was able to grab an offensive rebound as well, but missed as well, forcing the game into overtime.
After the play, Clark immediately put her hands on her head in relief, while Reese was visibly frustrated with herself. And as the former Iowa Hawkeyes guard was walking back to the Indiana bench to get ready for overtime, she appeared to turn toward Reese with a smile on her face, letting out a little laugh as well.

Reese and the Dream are now set to begin a four-game West Coast road trip this week, facing the Aces on Tuesday and the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday.
