A 26-year-old Ghanaian man living in Oklahoma City in the United States has been arrested repeatedly since 2022, with his latest detention coming after three arrests in 12 days over separate allegations involving women.

Jeff Kofi Asare’s arrest history stretches back more than four years. Publicly available Oklahoma booking records show alleged offences such as trespassing and shoplifting to breaking and entering, drug possession and assault, for the repeated arrests.

His recent arrests, however, involve more serious allegations, including sexual battery, attempted kidnapping and first-degree rape.

A history of repeated arrests

Asare’s earliest entry on the Oklahoma arrest database is dated May 16, 2022, although no charge is listed for that arrest.

He was arrested again in December that year, first on a trespassing allegation and later on allegations of larceny of merchandise and trespassing.

The arrests continued in 2023.

He was arrested in August on allegations including resisting an executive officer, larceny of merchandise, trespassing and obstructing an officer.

On November 23, he was arrested on allegations of breaking and entering, possession of a controlled substance and trespassing.

Asare’s arrest record shows an even greater frequency of arrests in 2024.

Between June and November, he was arrested several times on trespassing allegations. Other entries during the period included allegations of larceny of merchandise, breaking and entering, possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession.

He was arrested again in February 2025 on allegations of trespassing after being forbidden and obstructing an officer.

Later that year, the record shows arrests involving assault and battery, including a December arrest in which trespassing was also alleged.

On March 5, 2026, Asare was arrested on allegations of breaking and entering, trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The arrest database records more than 20 entries involving Asare since 2022, although some entries are listed as a “hold”, meaning the booking record alone does not establish the underlying offence or whether it represents a separate criminal case.

Seven convictions amid the arrests

Court records reviewed by Fox News show that Asare has at least seven misdemeanor convictions.

Three of those convictions were for breaking and entering. The others were for resisting an officer, shoplifting, trespassing and marijuana possession.

According to Fox the reviewed court records show Asare pleaded guilty to resisting an officer, shoplifting and trespassing in September 2023.

In November 2024, he pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and marijuana possession.

He subsequently pleaded guilty to two additional breaking-and-entering cases, one in October 2025 and another in April 2026.

He received 45 days in jail in the October case and 30 days in the April case, with credit for time already served in both cases.

Not every case ended in a conviction.

Fox reported that prosecutors dismissed a 2025 trespassing and obstruction case, after which Asare enrolled in a court-ordered outpatient programme.

In another 2024 case, he missed a court hearing and a judge issued a bench warrant.

Three arrests in 12 days

Asare’s latest run of arrests began on August 1, 2026, when Oklahoma City police responded to a possible rape call.

He was arrested on probable-cause allegations of felony sexual battery and felony indecent exposure. The police incident report also listed attempted forcible rape and forcible fondling among the reported offences.

Five days later, police arrested him again after responding to reports of sexual assaults involving multiple women at a downtown park.

He was booked on probable-cause allegations of attempted kidnapping and felony sexual battery and also received two city assault-and-battery citations.

Then, on August 12, Asare was arrested for a third time.

Jail records identified him as Jeff Kufi Asare and showed that he was booked on a first-degree rape charge. His bond was set at $75,000.

The latest arrest followed an incident on the Lake Hefner Trail in Oklahoma City, where firefighters reportedly saw Asare allegedly restraining a woman before alerting police.

The three latest cases remain allegations.

Fox News reported that, as of August 17, Oklahoma City police had not completed their investigations or presented the cases to prosecutors, meaning state charges had not yet been filed.

The Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office said it expected charges to be filed after receiving the completed cases from police.

For now, what the available records establish is a lengthy history of repeated encounters with law enforcement.

The latest allegations have not been tested in court, and Asare remains entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until he is convicted.
