Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark called out the temperature inside the Scotiabank Arena during their game against the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday.

The Fever played their first-ever game in Canada when they visited the Tempo and eked out a 101-95 road win.

But Indiana ran into a problem during the game after Kelsey Mitchell overheated in the third quarter and never saw action in the final frame.

Clark addressed this issue during her post-game interview and took a subtle jab at the arena’s air conditioning.

“Maybe if Canada had air-conditioning, that would probably be helpful,” Clark said. “It’s a million degrees in here, but hopefully, she’ll be okay. We certainly missed her.”

The former Iowa standout paced Indiana with her output of 24 points, three rebounds and seven assists to extend their win streak to five.

But during the same interview, Clark gave a special shoutout to the fans who showed out to watch the game and the enormous support they received.

“The fans were great tonight,” Clark added. “It’s really cool to see how much women’s basketball has grown. Really fun for my first time in Canada, and certainly excited to come back.”

Despite not finishing the game, Mitchell extended her streak of 20+ points in 20 consecutive games with her 29-point performance against Toronto.

This tied the league record with reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who set it from August 2023 to June 2024.

The Fever’s win streak came to an end on Thursday night, though. They suffered a 91-85 defeat against the Dallas Wings on the road. Indiana dropped to 24-13 and is fourth in the standings.
