The Toronto Tempo are at home Friday night as they host the Portland Fire in an interconference matchup.

Toronto enters Friday’s game with a 10-25 record after losing on the road to the Washington Mystics Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s loss to the Mystics, Kiki Rice led the way for the Tempo as she recorded 19 points and two assists while Aneesah Morrow added 13 points and eight rebounds of her own.

The Tempo will try to bounce back and snap their 12-game losing streak Friday as they face off against the Fire in a tough home matchup.

Portland enters Friday’s contest with a 15-20 record after defeating the Phoenix Mercury on the road Sunday night.

Carla Leite led the way for the Fire in Sunday’s victory as she ended the game with 23 points and five assists while Megan DiLeo recorded 15 points and five rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, one may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

The Fire have three players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out Sarah Ashlee Barker, Sania Feagin and Luisa Geiselsoder.

Portland has ruled out Barker and Feagin as they will both miss the remainder of the season with torn left ACLs.

The Fire have also ruled out Geiselsoder as she will miss the remainder of the season as well due to personal reasons.

The Tempo have three players listed on their injury report as well, including guard Marina Mabrey.

Toronto has ruled out Mabrey due to a right adductor injury as she will miss her second consecutive contest.

The Tempo have also ruled out Maria Conde as she will miss her fourth straight game with a left calf injury while Nyara Sabally will miss her third consecutive game as she is away from the team and recovering from a left calf injury.

The good news for Toronto is that Brittney Sykes is off the injury report and will return after missing Wednesday’s loss due to left foot injury management.
