Arsenal start the defence of their Premier League title today, with Mikel Arteta’s men hosting newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium in the opening game of the 2026/27 season. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. local time in the UK (3:00 p.m. ET in the USA). 

The match is Arsenal’s first Premier League game since winning the title last season. The Gunners also head into the opener after beating Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield. Coventry, meanwhile, are back in the Premier League after winning the Championship last season, finishing 11 points clear of Ipswich Town. 

Arsenal will be looking to make a strong start to their title defence at home, with Frank Lampard’s Coventry facing an immediate test against the reigning champions in their return to England’s top league.
