Kelsey Mitchell made WNBA history yet again. Unfortunately, the Indiana Fever’s five-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Dallas Wings.

The 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Champions traveled to the American Airlines Center on Thursday to face the Wings. However, they failed to keep their hot streak alive as they lost, 91-85.

Arike Ogunbowale led the way for the home team with 32 points on an efficient 54.5% shooting. Jessica Shepard chipped in 26 points and eight rebounds, while Paige Bueckers had 13 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

Makayla Timpson had her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Aliyah Boston scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Caitlin Clark struggled from the field, scoring only 10 points on 26.7% shooting.

Mitchell led the way for the Fever with 37 points and five assists. On top of that, she extended her WNBA record for most consecutive games scoring 20+ points to 21.

The Indiana star was asked about this achievement during the postgame conference.

“I think it’s a part of the game,” she said. “I just want to congratulate my team for making me look good.”

Mitchell also said that this achievement boils down to the work that she put in. At the same time, she admitted that winning is more than individual achievements.

“But, I don’t really take statistics really that serious,” the Fever guard said. “So, a lot of this stuff is really circumstantial to me.

“I wanted to get the dub, but we didn’t get that.”

Indiana now holds a 24-13 record this season. Their next game will be at the Barclays Center on Saturday to face the New York Liberty.
