Authorities at the Kotoka International Airport are worried about the increasing COVID-19 numbers being recorded at the airport according to a report by 3News.
In a letter written by Managing Director of Frontiers Healthcare Services (FHS), Dr. Kudzo Seneadza to Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited, FHS has expressed worry over the number of COVID infections his organization has recorded in the last week alone. The numbers show that there have been over 120 new cases in the past week alone.
On Saturday 24th April, FHS recorded seventy-five positive cases, which was a 67% increase from the cases recorded three days earlier.
Since the government announced the opening of the airport last year, there has been 231,911 tests. Out of this figure, 1,452 positive cases were recorded.
