Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have both contributed towards the fundraising for the Black Stars 2026 World Cup campaign.

The two musicians were present at the launch of the campaign at the Kempinski Hotel on Friday night, where individuals and corporate bodies pledged significant amounts to support Ghana’s preparation for the global tournament.

Shatta Wale’s $100,000 pledge followed a $101,000 pledge from fellow musician Stonebwoy, which included $81,000 in cash and $20,000 worth of music services, adding to the growing list of contributions as the nation rallies behind the team.

The headline sponsorship came from Ibrahim Mahama’s mining firm, Engineers & Planners, who committed $5 million.

Goldfields also pledged $2 million, with an additional $1 million for next year.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama. The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
