The Black Starlets of Ghana have discovered their opponents for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following the official draw at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo on Wednesday.

The tournament promises intense competition across all four groups.

• Group A features North African powerhouses Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt, joined by Ethiopia.
• Group B brings together Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Group C sees Mali headline alongside Angola, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
• Group D, arguably the most competitive, pairs Senegal, South Africa, Ghana, and Algeria, setting the stage for high-stakes clashes and contrasting playing styles.

The tournament will take place in Morocco from May 13 to June 2.

Beyond the continental crown, the top eight teams reaching the quarter-finals will secure automatic qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, while the two best third-placed teams will also earn spots, ensuring Africa will be represented by ten nations at the global tournament.
