TAGG calls for industrial action over Publican Ai Implementation

Traders Advocacy Group Ghana (TAGG) demands immediate suspension and review of disruptive Publican Al Customs System.

We hereby issue a grave warning concerning the catastrophic impact of the Publican Al system currently imposed on Ghana’strading environment.

Despite ongoing engagement with government officials and relevant authorities, the devastating consequences remain unchecked and unaddressed

The Publican Al has inflicted severe disruption by imposing

Excessive and unsustainable duty assessments based on flawed Al- generated valuations

Persistent and unjustifiable delays in cargo valuation and clearance processes

The current system operates under questionable legality, handled by TRUEDARE Investment Limited an entity lacking experience and bona fide expertise in managing such critical data institutions

In response, TAGG has initiated legal action against the responsible authorities and called for immediate government intervention

To bring urgent national attention to this crisis, TAGG directs all importers and traders to wear Red Armbands and its affiliates, agents, and freight forwarders to commence an industrial strike, laying down tools at all ports and entry points from Monday, 13th to Friday, 17th, 2026

Through this decisive action by all stakeholders, TAGG demands

TAGG reaffirms its commitment to lawful and constructive engagement. However, we will relentlessly defend the survival of Ghanaian businesses and the integrity of our trading system
