Nature’s Sprout Academy, in partnership with Nature’s Sprout Foundation, is set to host AWARE 2026—an autism advocacy walk aimed at promoting inclusion, awareness, and access to care for neurodivergent children and their families.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, 25 April 2026, will begin at 6:30am from North Legon in Accra, forming part of activities to mark Autism Awareness Month.

Organisers say the Autism Walk for Advocacy, Recognition, and Empowerment (AWARE) has grown into a national platform bringing together parents, professionals, institutions, corporate organisations, and the general public to amplify calls for inclusive support systems for children with developmental needs.

According to the organisers, the initiative is anchored on a core message: every neurodivergent child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Nature’s Sprout Academy, a specialised centre supporting children with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and learning challenges, says its work focuses on delivering structured, individualised education and therapy to improve communication, social, and developmental outcomes.

The foundation arm complements this effort by expanding access through financial assistance, community outreach, and awareness campaigns, particularly for families unable to afford early intervention services.

Now in its second edition, AWARE 2026 will also spotlight emerging conversations around the link between gut health and autism, with organisers encouraging dialogue on holistic and evidence-informed approaches to neurodevelopment.

The event is expected to raise awareness, mobilise resources to support children through the foundation, and strengthen partnerships among stakeholders in education, health, and social services.

Organisers are calling on corporate bodies, media organisations, NGOs, and the public to support the initiative through participation, sponsorship, and donations.

“Awareness must lead to meaningful action,” the organisers noted, stressing the need for sustainable systems that empower neurodivergent children and provide long-term support for families.
