Oko Nortei Omaboe, Board Member of Adepa Pharmaceuticals Limited, manufacturers of high-quality pharmaceutical products in Ghana, and husband of Mrs. Romana Sarpong Omaboe, Board Member and Managing Director of Adepa Pharmaceuticals, has been found dead in his office.

Asaase’s News Source further indicates that Mr. Omaboe allegedly shot himself in the chest, but he may have missed his heart. He was rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgical procedure in an attempt to save his life, but he died in the course of the medical operation.

Further information from Asaase’s News source disclosed that Mr Omaboe deleted all his WhatsApp messages on his phone in the morning and sent his wife a text message to thank her for everything before he allegedly shot himself.

The late businessman, according to Asaase News sources close to Adepa Pharmaceuticals, was found with gunshot wounds to his chest in his office at 14 Patrice Lumumba Street, Airport Residential, Accra. The incident is said to have happened on Monday, 13 April 2026.

A post on the Facebook Wall of Mr. Omaboe by one Mariama Hama, posted at about 7 pm on 13 April 2026, read: “R.I.P. Oko Omaboe. Your kindness and laughter will never be forgotten. May your family find strength.— feeling heartbroken.”

The Ghana Police Service is believed to have taken over the case and are currently conducting investigations into the incident. The tragic passing of Mr Oko Omaboe is said to have shocked the board of director, management and staff of Adepa Phamaceutical.
