Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has won two awards at the 43rd edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards, further cementing his standing on the global stage.
The awards ceremony, held on Sunday at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Centre in Florida, saw the Ghanaian star take home honours for “Best African Dancehall Entertainer” and “Concert of the Year” for his “Shatta Fest”.
The annual IRAWMA event, often described as “Culture’s Biggest Night”, celebrates excellence in reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats, Soca and other global music genres, drawing nominees and winners from across the Caribbean, Africa and the wider diaspora.
With the latest wins, Shatta Wale extends his record as the most decorated Ghanaian artiste in IRAWMA history, bringing his total number of awards at the ceremony to 11.
The achievement underscores his sustained influence in African dancehall and his continued international relevance, as he remains one of Ghana’s most recognised musical exports.
