Authorities have arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School after a video circulated on social media allegedly showed a student wielding a cutlass and threatening others on campus, police said on Friday.

The Ghana Police Service said the incident came to its attention shortly after midnight when officers intercepted the footage online.

According to police, a night patrol team was immediately dispatched to the school with the assistance of school authorities.

The suspects were identified as Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair, Odartey Wilson and one juvenile, police said. The four are currently in custody and assisting with investigations.

Authorities did not disclose details surrounding the circumstances that led to the incident but urged students to resolve disagreements through established school structures and avoid violence and intimidation.

Police also called on parents and school authorities to strengthen supervision and discipline measures to help maintain safety within schools.

The Tema Regional Police Command said investigations are ongoing and further updates would be communicated as the case develops.
