Arrangements have been announced for the one-week observance of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Ama Afaglo, following confirmation of her death after a prolonged illness.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Cine-God Studios on behalf of the Afaglo family, management said the actress died in the early hours of the day at the International Maritime Hospital after what was described as a long battle with cancer.
The statement announced that her one-week observance will be held on Saturday, 30 May 2026, at the Green Flavour Events Centre from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
“The family respectfully requests prayers, support, and privacy as they mourn this painful loss and make arrangements for her final rites,” the statement said.
Management added that details of the final funeral rites would be communicated in due course, while expressing gratitude to friends, colleagues and well-wishers for their support.
Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and figures within Ghana’s film industry, many celebrating Afaglo’s contributions to the country’s entertainment sector.
