Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (2 June), Andoh said the inclusion of a large number of inexperienced players — many without prior international tournament exposure — poses a significant risk.
“We are in for a horror show,” he said, pointing to concerns about defensive frailties and the step up to top-level competition.
The analyst highlighted that several players in the squad have never featured at youth World Cups or major international tournaments, limiting their preparedness for the global stage.
“International football is a different beast… there are levels to the game,” he said.
He singled out the likely central defensive pairing as a major concern, describing most possible combinations as “scary”.
“If you look at the centre-back pairing… it’s like a horror movie,” he added.
Andoh warned that facing world-class opponents could expose these weaknesses, particularly without a strong tactical system to compensate.
Unless the coaching staff can organise the team into a disciplined defensive unit, he said, Ghana could struggle to compete.
