Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex 1996 have announced the departure of four players following the expiration of their contracts ahead of the 2026/27 league season.
Emmanuel Mamah, Samuel Tetteh, Kofi Agbesima, and Francis Gyetua have all left the club after concluding their respective spells with the Timber Giants.
In a statement, FC Samartex expressed appreciation to the players for their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavours.
“We wish to thank them for their services to the Samartex family and wish them well,” the club said.
As part of preparations for the upcoming campaign, FC Samartex have also confirmed the appointment of Nana Kweku Agyemang as the club’s new head coach.
Agyemang will lead the technical team as Samartex look to build a competitive squad for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The club has further named Sey Kweku Richard as assistant coach of the first team, while he will also take charge of Team B as head coach.
The changes form part of FC Samartex’s restructuring efforts as they prepare for another season of top-flight football.
