Ghanaian dancer and choreographer Endurance Grand has featured in the first teaser materials for the upcoming Hollywood adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel, Children of Blood and Bone.

The appearance has generated excitement among Ghanaian audiences, although details about her specific role in the production have not yet been disclosed.

Set in a fictional African kingdom, Children of Blood and Bone follows the journey of a young warrior who seeks to restore magic and challenge a powerful ruler.

The film features an international cast including Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Damson Idris and Cynthia Erivo, while Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr is also making her Hollywood acting debut with the project.

Endurance Grand, who is recognised for her work in dance and choreography, has not confirmed whether she contributed to the film’s choreography, appeared as a performer or played another creative role.

Her involvement adds to growing recognition of African creative talent in major international film productions.
