The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has cut sod for the construction of a new Senior High School (SHS) in the constituency.

According to the MP, the project will be fully funded by a group of friends and himself, with support already coming from some corporate bodies.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Dumelo said some companies had begun donating building materials, including sand, cement, stones and iron rods, as well as cash towards the project.

He expressed hope that the construction would be completed within nine months.

“I cut the sod for construction of a new SHS in my beloved Ayawaso West Wuogon. This project will be fully funded by a group of friends and myself. Some corporate bodies have also started donating sand, cement, stones and iron rods as well as cash. It is my hope this project will be completed in 9 months. Insha Allah,” he said.

The project, when completed, is expected to provide additional educational infrastructure for residents of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
