Former NPP General Secretary John Boadu has thanked party supporters in the Oti Region and the five northern regions for their backing during his campaign tour, as he pushes his bid for National Chairman.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Boadu said the tour had ended successfully and that the reception he received was “deeply humbling”.

Boadu, who is seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party, said executives and grassroots members across the northern sector had made clear that the party must “unite, reorganise, reconnect with its grassroots, and return to the winning path”.

He pledged his commitment to “Bringing Back the Winning Ways of the NPP” and to building “a stronger, more disciplined, election-ready Party capable of winning in 2028 and beyond”.

The aspiring National Chairman said the ultimate goal was to ensure that the party’s flag-bearer, *Dr. Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia*, becomes President of the Republic of Ghana in the next general elections.

In the statement, Boadu expressed appreciation to Constituency and Regional Executives, former MPs, former CEOs, Council of Elders, former MMDCEs, former Regional Ministers, party stewards, TESCON, and grassroots members for their “overwhelming presence, warm reception, resounding endorsements and generous support”.

He also thanked his campaign team, social media team, and the media for their sacrifices and support, adding: “The journey continues, and together, we will see it through. We have done it before. We shall do it again. Let’s win together.”
