New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional chairmanship aspirant Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has hit back at what he described as the intrigues of internal party politics ahead of the regional elections.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday (11 August) COKA warned supporters not to be surprised if he became the subject of intense criticism by the time of Saturday’s election.

“By Saturday, don’t be surprised to hear that I was among those who ‘crucified Jesus’, such is internal politics,” he wrote.

“I remain focused and resolute. The mandate is clear: I am the next Ashanti Regional Chairman,” he declared.

The NPP is scheduled to hold its Ashanti Regional elections on Saturday (15 August), with COKA among the candidates seeking to lead the party in the region.

The contest comes as the party prepares to strengthen its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
