Deportivo de La Coruña and Real Madrid face each other today, Wednesday, in the 81st edition of the Trofeo Teresa Herrera. The friendly will be played at Riazor Stadium in A Coruña as both teams continue getting ready for the 2026-27 season.

It is another useful test for Real Madrid under José Mourinho, with their La Liga opener against Espanyol coming on August 22. Deportivo, meanwhile, are preparing for their return to Spain’s top flight after an eight-year absence and will start their league campaign against Elche on August 17.

The match also comes amid protests from Deportivo supporters, with several fan groups calling for a boycott over ticketing and other conditions surrounding the trophy.
