Malta Guinness’ We Move platform has hosted the second edition of its Dance With Vim competition at the Bukom Arena in Accra.

The event, held on Friday, August 7, 2026, brought together dance groups, Malta Guinness fans and other spectators for a competition that combined dance, music and the spirit of perseverance associated with the brand’s We Move platform.

The choice of Bukom Arena provided a fitting setting for the competition, given the area’s longstanding association with boxing and its history of producing some of Ghana’s celebrated boxing talents.

For the event, the boxing venue was transformed into a dance floor as three groups competed for the top prize.

Media personality Giovanni Caleb hosted the event, keeping the audience engaged throughout the competition and guiding proceedings between the various performance rounds.

The judging panel included viral dance sensation Official Starter and dance artist and instructor Nana Afriyie.

Official Starter, known for his market-square dance routines, brought his experience in street dance to the judging process, while Nana Afriyie assessed the contestants from the perspective of a trained dance artist and instructor.

The competition featured three finalists: GMC Dance Group, Think Twice Dance Group and Street Heroes.

GMC Dance Group and Think Twice Dance Group faced off in the first battle, with Think Twice emerging ahead and GMC taking third place.

The final contest saw Think Twice Dance Group go up against Street Heroes in a closely fought battle, with Street Heroes eventually winning the judges’ approval to claim the title.

Street Heroes were crowned winners of the second edition of Dance With Vim and received GH₵5,000 as the first-place prize.

Think Twice Dance Group finished second and took home GH₵3,000, while GMC Dance Group placed third with GH₵2,000.

The competition forms part of Malta Guinness’ We Move platform, which the brand says is focused on highlighting people who continue to push forward and demonstrate energy, determination and perseverance in their daily lives.

The brand has used the platform to spotlight people across different aspects of Ghanaian life, including those working in workshops, operating market stalls and pursuing their everyday ambitions.

At Bukom Arena, that message was expressed through dance, with the competing groups using their performances to demonstrate their energy, creativity and determination.

The second edition of Dance With Vim ended with Street Heroes taking the top prize, as the We Move platform continued its focus on celebrating Ghanaians who keep moving forward despite the challenges they face.
