Veteran actress and filmmaker Madam Selassie Ibrahim has revealed that she has taken legal action against 12 Ghanaian television stations for allegedly airing her movies without paying for them.

Speaking on Angel FM, Kumasi, Madam Selassie Ibrahim said the legal proceedings are nearing a conclusion, with judgment expected soon.

“I have sued Ghanaian TV stations for airing movies for free,” she disclosed.

According to her, the stations involved will be publicly identified once the court delivers its judgment, saying she intends to name all 12 television stations.

She explained that the legal action forms part of efforts to protect the commercial interests of filmmakers and ensure that creative works are not used without appropriate compensation.

Madam Selassie Ibrahim said she would refrain from naming the stations until the court process is concluded, stressing that the judgment is expected soon.

“I will name the 12 stations involved when the judgment is out,” she stated.
