Kumasi Mayor Richard Ofori Agyemang-Boadi has paid tribute to Kwabena Kesse Esq., Chief Executive of Kessben Group, describing him as a father figure following the businessman’s death.
In a Facebook post on Thursday (20 August), the Mayor expressed condolences to Kesse’s family, staff and friends.
“Rest in Peace Mr. Kwabena Kesse Esq. CEO Kessben Group. Thank you for the fatherly love you showed me,” Agyemang-Boadi wrote.
“My condolences to the entire family, staff and friends for their lost. May the good lord keep him safe for us,” he added.
Kessben Group is a major media and business conglomerate based in Kumasi, with interests in radio, television and real estate. Mr Kesse was widely known in the Ashanti Region for his media operations and philanthropic work.
Tributes have poured in from across Ghana’s media and political circles since news of his passing.
The cause of death and funeral arrangements have not yet been announced by the family.
