The 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will begin on Saturday, October 31, according to MyNewsGh.com source in Nigeria.
The start date was approved at the league’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held in Owerri on Friday.
The teams competing in the new season have been divided into four conferences: Southern Conference A and B, and Northern Conference A and B.
The team that finishes top of each conference will earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The four promoted teams will then compete in a mini-tournament to determine the overall NNL champions for the season.
Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, Doma United and Ranchers Bees earned promotion from the NNL to the NPFL at the end of last season.
