The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the media rights of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The tender covers Free-to-Air (FTA) and Pay-TV rights in several languages across the Sub-Saharan African region. These include English, Swahili, Portuguese, isiZulu, Wolof, Yoruba and local languages.

French-language Pay-TV rights are not included in the 2027 tender.

Interested parties have until September 14, 2026, at 5:00pm Cairo time to submit their bids.

The 2027 AFCON will take place in East Africa from June 19 to July 17, 2027.

CAF said the 2025 AFCON in Morocco attracted more than 3.2 billion TV viewers and six billion digital views, making it the third-biggest global national team football event after the FIFA World Cup and European Championship.

CAF has also opened media rights tenders for several other upcoming competitions.
