NPP 1st Vice Chairmanship race: Diaspora picks forms for Richard Oti Aboagye

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sweden Branch Chairman, Richard Oti Aboagye, has picked nomination forms to contest the position of 1st Vice Chairman in the party’s upcoming national elections.

The forms were picked on his behalf on Friday at the NPP headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra by the NPP Japan Branch Chairman, Alhaji Nana Abdul Razak, and former Middle East Branch Chairman, Isaac Osae.

Speaking to the media after picking the forms, Alhaji Nana Abdul Razak said the current state of the party requires executives with the experience, commitment and capacity to lead its rebuilding efforts and help recapture power in 2028.

He said Richard Oti Aboagye’s track record, particularly his role in establishing and mobilising the NPP Sweden Branch, demonstrates his ability to organise and energise the party’s grassroots.

According to him, Mr Oti Aboagye’s previous contributions to the party make him a strong contender for the 1st Vice Chairman position.

Alhaji Nana Abdul Razak therefore appealed to delegates to vote massively for Richard Oti Aboagye, saying he possesses the experience and organisational capacity needed to help strengthen the party’s base and position the NPP for victory in the 2028 elections.
