Job Vacancy: Political Assistant (PA) for a Politician

The PA will act as the politician’s first point of contact with people and coordinate all aspects of the politician’s official and personal works including managing all his schedules.

This role is opened to entry-level candidates (a recent graduate who is ambitious, analytical, with a strong sense of personal initiative and interpersonal skills), middle-level candidates, or senior/executive level candidates.

The successful candidate should be highly organized and work quickly and under a high-pressure environment.

Employment type: Full-time

Location: Accra but includes travels outside of Accra

Qualifications

Generally, a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred but a degree in the following subjects may increase your chances:
• Economics
• Mathematics
• History
• Communications
• Law
• Politics and International Relations
• Public Administration and Social Policy

An exception may be made for persons who have excellent secretarial skills, which are particularly needed for the job.

A postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree) may be an advantage.
