Carlos Queirozsays Ghana’s national team technical staff have undertaken an intensive month-long preparation programme as the Black Stars step up readiness for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in June.

In a statement highlighting the team’s behind-the-scenes work from 11 April to 11 May, the Black Stars head coach detailed a rigorous scouting, monitoring and performance analysis regime aimed at sharpening the squad ahead of the tournament.

According to Queiroz, the technical team compiled about 200 individual video reports to assess player performances, while closely monitoring 170 matches across different competitions. The exercise also included 30 live match observations and continuous scouting of 75 players, with 30 of them placed under direct in-person evaluation.

He added that the preparations extended beyond match analysis to include detailed technical and fitness assessments, as well as comprehensive medical monitoring of players.

“Behind every future success, there is invisible work, sacrifice, discipline, and countless hours of commitment,” Queiroz said, praising the professionalism and dedication of his staff.

The veteran coach emphasised that building a competitive national team requires sustained effort, attention to detail and long-term planning, noting that the current work forms part of a broader strategy to position Ghana strongly on the global stage.

The Black Stars are expected to intensify preparations in the coming weeks as final squad decisions draw closer ahead of the tournament.
