Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Women’s Organizer, Hawa Koomson, has called for peace, unity, and non-violence before, during, and after the party’s ongoing constituency elections.
A total of 2,288 delegates are expected to cast their ballots in the Awutu Senya East NPP constituency elections.
Speaking to the media after casting her vote in Kasoa, the former Awutu Senya East MP urged delegates to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid any form of violence that could undermine the democratic process.
She noted that today marks exactly one year since she was attacked during the Ablekuma elections and expressed gratitude to God and all those who helped save her life during the incident.
Hawa Koomson further pledged to work tirelessly with the party’s women’s wing to strengthen the NPP and help secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
The call for peace comes as the New Patriotic Party continues its internal elections across various constituencies ahead of the 2028 general elections.
