OneWay Missions Global, the humanitarian outreach initiative of Christ for Youth International (CYI), has launched a nationwide appeal for support for its 2026 humanitarian mission to Bongo-Soe in the Upper East Region.

The week-long outreach, scheduled for October 20 to 26 this year, will deliver free medical services, educational support, digital literacy resources and community development interventions to residents of Bongo-Soe and neighbouring communities.

The humanitarian outreach has, therefore, appealed to corporate organisations, healthcare professionals, educators, volunteers and the general public to support the mission.

For more than a decade, OneWay Missions Global has combined Christian missions with sustainable community development across Africa and Europe, reaching underserved communities through health care, education, youth development and humanitarian assistance.

One of its landmark achievements is the establishment of the Greatness Community Hub and Library in Bongo-Soe, a facility that continues to serve as a centre for learning and community engagement.

Over the years, multidisciplinary teams comprising doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals have provided medical care to more than 2,000 rural residents, while educational outreach programmes have equipped thousands of students and teachers with knowledge and practical skills.

A statement issued by the Ghana Office of OneWay Missions Global said that as preparations gather momentum for this year's mission, the organisation calls on professionals and institutions to contribute their expertise and resources.

It explained that the healthcare professionals required to volunteer their services include doctors, nurses, dentists, dieticians, paediatricians, ENT specialists, pharmacists, and laboratory scientists.

“Teachers, ICT trainers, youth mentors, and other education professionals are also encouraged to participate in the outreach,” the statement said.

The organisation is further appealing for donations of laptops, desktop computers, tablets, stationery, educational materials, clothing, footwear, toiletries, confectioneries, and non-perishable food items to support beneficiaries in the target communities.

Financial contributions will support the procurement of medical supplies, educational resources, logistics, and other operational requirements necessary for the successful execution of the mission.
