Henos Energy has launched its first LPG drive-thru facility as part of efforts to provide consumers with a safer, more convenient and affordable way of accessing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The initiative, launched as part of the company’s fifth anniversary celebration, allows customers to drive into the facility with an empty cylinder and have it exchanged for a filled, safety-checked cylinder without leaving their vehicles.

Speaking to Channel One News after the launch at East Legon on Friday, August 7, 2026, Chief Executive Officer of Henos Energy, Henry Osei, said the facility was developed in response to customer demand for more convenient and comprehensive LPG services.

“We’ve listened to the voice of our customers, and our customers have told us that they want complete LPG solutions from A to Z,” he said.

According to Mr Osei, the drive-thru is designed around three key areas — convenience, accessibility and affordability.

He explained that customers would not need to leave their vehicles, as attendants would collect the empty cylinder from their trunks and replace it with a filled one.

“Our attendants will take their empty cylinder from their trunks, put the filled one in, they pay, and within minutes, they are out of here,” he said.

He also assured customers of the safety and quantity of LPG dispensed at the facility, noting that every cylinder is inspected before being made available to consumers.

“In terms of safety, every cylinder that’s here has been checked for safety and has been fully filled from the bottling plant. So, we have a safety and quantity guarantee when they buy from here,” Mr Osei added.

Beyond LPG cylinders, the facility also provides related products and equipment, including regulators, hoses, tubes and cook stoves.

“So, when you come here, aside from the cylinder, you have regulators, you have hoses, you have tubes, anything that your gas cylinder requires. We even have cook stoves available here,” he said.

Mr Osei further disclosed that customers would not pay an additional charge for the drive-thru service, despite the added convenience and range of services.

“No, so despite giving you all these services, we still remain more affordable than going outside,” he said.

On the part of the National Petroleum Authority, its Head of Gas, Commercial and Energy, Obed Henry Boakye, described the Henos Energy LPG drive-thru as an innovative addition to Ghana’s Cylinder Recirculation Model aimed at making LPG distribution safer and more convenient for consumers.

“This infrastructure is a good contribution to the implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Model”, he said.

He also assured Henos Energy of the NPA’s technical support and guidance to ensure the facility meets the required operational and safety standards.
