Ghanaian rap heavyweight Sarkodie has announced the next edition of Rapperholic UK, with the celebrated concert set to take over London’s iconic O2 Arena on Saturday, March 6, 2027.

The announcement follows what organisers described as a sold-out London debut and represents a significant step up for the Rapperholic brand as Sarkodie prepares to bring one of his biggest shows to one of the world’s best-known entertainment venues.

The choice of date adds further significance to the event.

March 6, 2027 will mark exactly 70 years since Ghana gained independence in 1957, positioning Rapperholic UK as part concert, part celebration of Ghanaian music, culture and identity in the diaspora.

Organisers are promising an especially memorable edition, describing the upcoming show as a night of heightened celebrations and "electric" energy to mark the historic anniversary.

Sarkodie is also expected to be joined by a surprise line-up of star-studded guests, although the supporting artistes have not yet been revealed.

The multiple award-winning rapper is expected to draw heavily from his extensive catalogue, which spans nearly two decades and includes some of Ghanaian hip-hop and Afrobeats' most recognisable records and collaborations.

Taking Rapperholic to The O2 represents another major international milestone for Sarkodie and the concert franchise.

The London venue has hosted some of the world's biggest musicians and has become an important benchmark for African artistes expanding their live audiences internationally.

For Sarkodie, the March 2027 concert also provides an opportunity to bring together Ghanaians and other African music fans in the United Kingdom on a date carrying enormous significance back home.

The rapper has built Rapperholic into one of Ghana's most recognisable annual entertainment properties, traditionally using the platform to combine his own performances with appearances from established stars and emerging acts.

The UK edition extends that concept beyond Ghana, with the 2027 show promising a specially curated musical experience for the London audience.

The identities of the guest performers are expected to be announced closer to the concert.

With Ghana's 70th Independence anniversary falling on the same day, the O2 Arena is now set for a distinctly Ghanaian takeover on March 6, 2027 — led by one of the country's most successful musical exports.
