One person has died, while 10 others sustained injuries in a road traffic accident involving two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles on the Adukrom–Somanya Highway.
The accident occurred at Akode No. 2, near Aseseso, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Kpong Fire Station received a distress call and quickly dispatched a crew to the scene.
The crew was dispatched at 6:03 a.m. and arrived at the scene at 6:34 a.m., where firefighters found two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles involved in the crash.
The injured victims were attended to following the accident, while the deceased was removed from the scene.

The vehicles were identified by their registration numbers as ER 1564-21 and ER 1660-21.
The collision resulted in casualties, with 10 people sustaining injuries and one person losing their life.
The firefighters responded to the emergency and assisted in dealing with the aftermath of the crash.
The 10 injured victims were subsequently transported to the Yilo Krobo Hospital, where they were taken for medical attention and treatment.
